TEHRAN – In a ceremony on Monday the Iranian Navy unveiled a new air radar system called the Asr project.

The ceremony was attended by Navy Commander Habibollah Sayyari and a number of other senior military officials.
Sayyari quoted Supreme Leader as saying last year that the Navy needed to improve its anti-aircraft system.
Thus, the Navy has designed and manufactured the system, which is the first step to strengthen its fleet in south Iran
